Celebrating 75 Years of Timeless Traditions with the Berkeley County Youth Fair
One of our favorite weeks of the year is in August, when the youth of Berkeley County get the opportunity to show their hard work at the Berkeley County Youth Fair. The Kisner Communications team not only serves on the marketing team for the fair, but we are also honored to spend the week broadcasting live from the fairgrounds every day with TV10, for those who can not attend this beloved tradition in person. During the 75th Anniversary this past summer, Mary Beth and Lexy co-hosted the daily show and enjoyed interviewing local guests of honor, entertainers and exhibitors. It’s one of the highlights of summer!
Community Image Book
Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce
Kisner Communications had the honor of creating the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce’s Community Snapshot Image Book - twice, the publication is available to view on the Chamber’s website here! Our goal with this original book in 2020 was to highlight the natural beauty and abounding opportunity that our community has to offer, with the help of Jenny Lynn Photography. In 2022, we teamed up again to create a “commemorative issue” of the book for the county’s 250th anniversary. We hope that it makes our local community proud, and helps Berkeley County stand out to potential new businesses!

Christmas in Martinsburg has a special sort of magic-like a scene in a Hallmark movie! Mary Beth enjoys serving on the Christmas on Main committee for Main Street Martinsburg and not only getting to serve as co-host on TV10 for the annual Christmas parade, but also helping to organize it with their team!

Apple Harvest Festival
One of our greatest passions is serving our community! Our owner, Mary Beth is honored to serve on the Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival Board and Kisner Communications serves as the festival’s marketing extension; managing digital media, advertising and several of the special events. Lexy, a former MSAHF Court Member, also has a special place in her heart for this community tradition celebrating our apple heritage. Festival weekend, you’ll find Mary Beth and Lexy everywhere, from covering social media and helping to manage several events, to live coverage of the parade on TV10.
Miss West Virginia Organization
Sometimes work, community service, and and championing the next generation of women leaders is a package deal! We are so honored to have had the opportunity the past 4 years to partner with the Miss West Virginia Organization to design their 200+ Souvenir Competition Magazine, as well as provide them a variety of design services pro-bono throughout the year! There is nothing quite like the excitement of competition week, being backstage handling last minute design needs for the production and having a front row seat to cheer on the talented, intelligent and determined young women who compete for the title of Miss West Virginia.
